Studies

Jesuits are expected to be competent and confident, able to respond to the changing demands of working for the Kingdom of God with the flexibility that comes from a thorough education.

The Church requires two years of philosophy studies and four years of theology studies of all men being prepared for ordination: a Jesuit on his way to priesthood will usually add to this further studies or professional training depending on his capabilities and the work for which he is being prepared.
