Catholic education conference

NEW THINKING ABOUT CATHOLIC EDUCATION

The past twenty years have witnessed a flowering of research interest in Catholic education.  There is a growing body of well-argued and rigorously grounded research into Catholic education.  This conference will focus on this new thinking about Catholic education and schools.  Alongside leading voices on Catholic education, the conference will give many of those who have completed doctoral studies in recent years an opportunity to share their research findings.

The confirmed speakers include, amongst others, Dr Maureen Glackin (St Mary’s), Dr Ros Stuart-Buttle (Hope), Professor Stephen McKinney (Glasgow), Professor Gerald Grace (St Mary’s), Professor Richard Pring and  Professor John Sullivan.

This conference will provide an exceptional opportunity to discover and explore the contemporary state of Catholic education in a way that is thoroughly grounded in high quality research.  All those who have any interest in or concerns about Catholic education and schools are warmly welcome to take part.  For further details, including guidance on how to book your place, please go to Heythrop.ac.uk/events.

Cost of conference: In order to reduce costs and encourage more participants this will be a non-residential conference.  The full conference is £75 and a single day rate of £45 is available.
