Media and Communications Manager

Location: Central London with some travel around the UK
Reporting to: Provincial
Status: Permanent: Full time

This is a senior, long-term role which suits either a highly experienced media or communications professional with a proven track record in a similar role, or a mature journalist or producer looking to apply their experience of news and stories in an institution that puts prayer and discernment at the heart of everything we do to create a more just and sustainable world. But it could equally suit a younger person with obvious talent and passion and communications skills seeking to develop and grow within a spirited organization of highly motivated men and women.

Website and Digital Media Manager

Location: Central London with some travel around the UK
Reporting to: the Socius
Status: Fixed term (at least one year)

Main purpose of role

To ensure the web and digital presence of the Jesuits in Britain is of high quality and enjoys maximum profile, provides accurate and current information, is inspiring to users, and properly presents the Jesuit charism and mission.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. To manage the development of the core Jesuits in Britain website
  2. To advise Apostolic Works and other internal stakeholders on the development of their websites
  3. To develop an effective digital and social media presence for the Province and its Works

Spirituality Team Member at St Beuno’s 

St Beuno's is recruiting a team member to help deliver their extensive programme of retreats and training. The role will involve directing on the Ignatian Individually Guided Retreats, working on training programmes and duties involved with the general running of the centre, along with additional identified responsibilities. These responsibilities would be dependent on the applicant’s skills and experience, and will be drawn from one of the following areas: training; teams coordination; programme management; social media and website management; supervision and coordination of CPD.

The main place of employment is St Beuno’s but the team also delivers retreats and training throughout the British Province of the Jesuits, so some travel away from St Beuno’s will be part of the work. Accommodation may be available.

Salary: £25,770 - £28,230 depending on experience.

Assistant Director at St Beuno’s

St Beuno's is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director on a one year fixed-term contract who will be a member of the Management Team. The Assistant Director will work with the Director and other Assistant Director to assist in the management and leadership of the spirituality centre. The principle area of responsibility will be oversight and management of the programme. The Assistant Director will also deliver retreats and courses, and may work on some of the training courses. There will be opportunities for further training and development.

The main place of employment is St Beuno’s but, as we also deliver retreats and training throughout the British Province of the Jesuits, occasional travel away from St Beuno’s will be part of the work. Accommodation may be available.

Salary: £31,500 (one year fixed term contract)

Do you have experience of any of the following: International development, campaigning, financial management, HR?  Are you passionate about addressing our climate emergency? Do you believe in the power of faith-based organisations working for a more just world?
 
The Management Board meets four times a year to help determine Jesuit Missions’s strategy and advise and encourage the team so that they give their best and continue to develop.
