Frank Turner and children from Jesuit schools present a petition to the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso.

Frank Turner SJ

Why do I do it?

Wherever the quality of human life is profoundly determined, the Church must evangelise.  Hence the ministry of social justice itself.

Section 23 of GC34's Our Mission and Justice specifically calls for the Society to find expressions at the national and international level 'to collaborate with other national and international groups or organizations, both nongovernmental and official, for a part of our responsibility as an international apostolic body is to work with others at the regional and global level for a more just international order'.
