Institute of Religion, Ethics and Public Life
An initiative of the British Jesuits and Heythrop College, launched in September 2004, the Institute seeks to identify and comment on issues in the fields of religion, ethics and public life and contemporary culture which are urgent and significant for the Church and society. It does this through:
Promoting creative research in the Church’s theological, ethical and social teaching.
Bringing together the relevant disciplines, providing an analysis and reflection upon the areas identified that is accessible to practioners and academics.
Making the work of the Institute available to other agencies, groups and organisations by the means of teaching programmes, research, publications, conferences and seminars.
