What do I do?  My work in the social apostolate is mainly concerned with academic reflection.  For around a year and a half, I have been an associate director of The Heythrop Institute For Religion, Ethics and Public Life.  The work in the Institute is to critically reflect from a faith perspective on the ways in which religion, ethics and public life are interfacing in today's world.

The area is clearly vast.  In effect, everything from developments in the bio-medical sciences, to education, and issues of economic justice come under the remit of the Institute.  In order to reflect on such a diverse range of issues the team of the Institute is necessarily an interdisciplinary one.
