Faiths Together
This new course, based in two centres in London, began in January 2007 and will run until July 2008. It aims to contribute to the understanding of religious faith by bringing people from different backgrounds into direct contact with each other so that they can learn together.
Some 24 participants are involved, meeting for two hours every week. They are encouraged to learn about different faith traditions, to learn from different faith traditions, to learn with different faith traditions, and so to appreciate how to build and maintain positive relationships between different faith traditions.
This is an experiential course, inviting learning by doing. Participants have the opportunity to experience:
encounter
conversation
engagement
dialogue
through a combination of lectures, seminars and visits at Heythrop College, London, and at De Nobili House in Southall.
