Salve Regina - published by St Omers Press

Illustrated book published to aid Rosary meditations

St Omers Press, the Stonyhurst publishers, has just published a book of prayers and illustrations to accompany the Rosary and other Catholic meditations.

Salve Regina is a 96-page book compiled by Charles Graffius and Edward Thomas.  It takes the reader through the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary, as well as the Mysteries of Light introduced by Pope John Paul II.  Each decade is accompanied by an illustration taken from the Libraries and Collections at Stonyhurst College, the Jesuit school in Lancashire, founded in 1593.

In his introduction to the book, the Chaplain at Stonyhurst, Fr John Twist SJ, writes that the Rosary combines 'the simplicity of repetition with the profundity of meditation'.  He hopes Salve Regina will enable men and women today to gain insight and depth in saying the Rosary, in which generations have found 'genuine comfort and meaning'.

Salve Regina is published by St Omers Press (link below) at £12.95.  It is available from Gracewing Publishing or contact enquiries@stomerspress.co.uk.
ISBN 0 9553592 1 X.
