Tim and Roger prepare for ordination
Tim Byron SJ and Roger Dawson SJ are currently preparing for their ordination to the priesthood which will take place on Saturday 7 July. The Most Reverend Kevin McDonald, Archbishop of Southwark, will ordain the two Jesuits priests at 12 noon, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Edge Hill, Wimbledon, London SW19. Mass will be followed by a reception at nearby Wimbledon College.
People wishing to attend should note that there are four major events in London on 7 July: the Wimbledon Tennis Final, the start of the Tour de France, the Live Earth concert at Wembley, and the ordination of Tim Byron and Roger Dawson. You may well need to make allowances with your travel plans. Click on the Transport for London web link below to help you plan your travel.
Note: There are currently no engineering works scheduled for the Victoria Line or District Line on this weekend. However, this may change at short notice (often Sunday travel is disrupted). It is worthwhile checking this before travelling on www.tfl.gov.uk
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS: By train from Waterloo/Vauxhall/Clapham Junction to Wimbledon, approx every 5—10 minutes. By tram from Croydon. By Underground: Take the District Line to Wimbledon.
