Living Theology in Liverpool

LOYOLA-metro, a collaboration between the Jesuits of St Francis Xavier's Church in Liverpool and the Loyola Hall Spirituality Centre on Merseyside, has announced its Living Theology programme for this July.

It will be led by Jesuits and others at Hope University in Liverpool, and the main speaker will be Irish Jesuit Michael Paul Gallagher.  His topic each afternoon between July 23 and 27 will be Culture: Faith's Friend or Foe, in which Fr Gallagher will explore how our contemporary context interacts with the life of faith.  The morning courses will offer a choice of topics ranging from St Luke's Gospel to Ignatian Spirituality, and from Fundamentalism to Liturgy.

Living Theology is a Summer School provided by Jesuits and other theologians to help Christians understand their faith better.  In addition to Liverpool, it will also be staged in London, Edinburgh and Durham over the summer of 2007.  The Liverpool Summer School will take place on the Everton Campus of Hope University between Monday 23 July and Friday 27 July.  The cost will be £65.
