Arrupe Month students visit Ireland

Jesuits preparing for ordination customarily spend an 'Arrupe Month' in reflection on and discussion of their vocation.  Father Pedro Arrupe was the Jesuit Superior General from 1965-83; the centenary of his birth is being celebrated this year.

Brendan Comerford SJ is currently directing five young Jesuits in their Arrupe experience in Manresa, Dublin.  Brendan was Novice Director for the British and Irish Provinces at Manresa House in Birmingham.  Three of these Jesuits on their Arrupe Month visited the Jesuit Communication Centre (JCC) in Dublin recently.  They were Sumeth Perera from Sri Lanka and Rampe Hlobo from South Africa who are studying at Heythrop College in London, (Rampe is due to be ordained deacon on 1 September), and Hungarian Zoltán Koronkai, who is studying in Ontario.  The JCC's Director, Pat Coyle, spent some time with them describing the work of the centre.
