Novena of Grace in honour of St Francis Xavier

Jesuit parishes around the world - including many in Britain - are holding a Novena of Grace in honour of St Francis Xavier this week (4 - 12 March).

This traditional devotion of Jesuits and their associates has always taken place on the nine days prior to the anniversary of the canonisation of St Francis Xavier and St Ignatius Loyola (12 March 1622).  It combines a reflection on the life of St Francis and prayer through him to God for our own special intentions.
