Lenten Talks at Stonyhurst College

Stonyhurst College has announced its line-up for its second series of Lenten Talks, beginning on Tuesday, 23 February.  The speakers, who come from a wide variety of different ministries, will each talk about their work in the light of the Lenten Sunday readings.

The Lenten Talks will take place in the Bayley Room at Stonyhurst, for five consecutive Tuesdays during Lent.  They will be opened by Bishop Peter Doyle of Northampton, followed on 2 March by Fr Robert Halshaw, the Chaplain to the Forces (RAF) and the following week by the Revd Sam Nicholson, an Anglican priest of two parishes in Wigan.

The final two speakers (16 and 23 March) are both Jesuits: Fr Michael Holman SJ, the British Provincial, and the renowned scripture scholar, Fr Nicholas King SJ of Campion Hall, Oxford.

For more information on the Lenten Talks Series, contact the College Lay Chaplain, Sarah Young on 01254 827143 or email s.young@stonyhurst.ac.uk
