Holy Cross Church, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire

Christmas services in Hertfordshire

Families and children are an important focus for Christmas events this year in two parishes in Hertfordshire, which are served by a Jesuit priest.  Fr Bob Styles SJ alternates services between Holy Cross Church in Much Hadham - a lovely Gothic Church which is shared with the St Andrew's Church of England congregation - and the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, housed in a converted cinema in Sawbridgeworth.

Their first Christmas event will be a Children's Celebration at Most Holy Redeemer, starting at 2pm on Saturday, 18 December.  Then, the following day, the Much Hadham Families Carol Concert will take place at 6pm.

Highlights of Christmas Eve will include the Children's Crib Service for the joint Anglican/Catholic congregations at 5pm at Much Hadham; carols at Most Holy Redeemer at 7.30pm; and two Midnight Masses - 8pm at Sawbridgeworth and 9.30pm and Holy Cross.

Christmas Day Masses will be at 9.30 am at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer and 11.30am at Holy Cross.

These are details of Christmas events in just two parishes in Britain served by the Society of Jesus.  You can read about what will be happening at Corpus Christi, Boscombe, and St Aloysius, Glasgow, by following the link above.  Information from other parishes will be posted here as soon as it is confirmed: please re-visit these web pages frequently.
