Lenten Retreats in Daily Life

Lent is a time to review our lives and deepen our relationship with God so it is a good time to make a retreat.

A Retreat in Daily Life is an opportunity to become more aware of God in our everyday life and in our prayer, whether we find it difficult to pray; can never find time for prayer; are not sure what prayer is; would like to discover more about different ways of praying; or would simply like to deepen our prayer.

The Mount Street Jesuit Centre (MSJC) in central London is offering a Retreat in Daily Life from Sunday 13 March until the flowing Sunday.

The MSJC Manager, Lynne Galloway, explains how it will work:
'Each individual has their own unique relationship with God.  Talking about this relationship, or lack of it, to a prayer guide can help you to deepen it.  Participants will be given their own prayer guide, who they can meet at a day and time of their choice, for up to half an hour once a week for the five weeks of Lent.  They will also be given some prayer material and invited to pray for up to half an hour a day.'

The retreat begins on Sunday, 13 March at 7pm (after the evening Mass at Farm Street Church) with a gathering of all those involved including the prayer guides.  Retreatants will meet their guides and arrange the specific time and room to meet at Mount St.  The retreat will end with a gathering of everyone on Sunday, 17 April 7.15pm.
