Farm Street Church hosts Prayer Vigil

The first 2012 prayer vigil of Jesus Christ, the Fullness of Life (JCFL) will be taking place at Farm Street Jesuit Church in Central London this Thursday, 5 January.  The JCFL Prayer Vigil is held on the first Thursday of each month.  It takes a Christ-centered theme and weaves together a beautiful liturgy with readings from Sacred Scripture, music, preaching, intercession and silence.  It is followed by a meal together, providing a little quality time for food and friendly conversation.

This Thursday at Farm Street Church (the Church of the Immaculate Conception), Fr Richard Nesbitt, Vocations Director for the Diocese of Westminster, will be reflecting on 'God Calling'.  The evening of prayer and friendship for Christians of all traditions offers an encounter with Jesus Christ through music and song (Taizé, Iona, Gaelic, African, praise and worship), readings from the Bible, preaching, prayers and silence.  The parish priest of Farm Street Church, Fr William Pearsall SJ, is a member of the JCFL team.

The Prayer Vigil will start at 7.30pm and a song practice will be held in the Choir Room at 4pm.  Anyone who plays an instrument would be welcome to attend the instrumental rehearsal.
