Exploring Jesuit Life

Jesuit life can seem a bit mysterious to people; many myths surround who Jesuits are and what they do. So an Open Afternoon at the Hurtado Jesuit Centre in Wapping, East London, might help to de-mystify the Society of Jesus and explain what makes a man consider becoming a Jesuit.

Fr Jim Conway SJ, the Director of the Hurtado Centre, says he is looking forward to welcoming people who are just curious, as well as those who may be considering a religious life. 'Anyone who comes along will be able to find out something about our founder, St Ignatius Loyola, about the ways we pray and live community life, and what the Church expects of us in our different works,' he says.

Exploring Jesuit Life, an Open Afternoon at the Hurtado Jesuit Centre, 2 Chandler Street, London E1W 2QT, will take place on Sunday, 13 May, between 2.30 and 6.30pm.
