Refuge Garnethill

An exhibition by St Aloysius Church exploring the rich heritage of Garnethill through the eyes of refugees and asylum seekers – the ‘New Glaswegians’

Over six weeks this summer, St Aloysius ESOL students have explored the Garnethill area, capturing images of buildings they have found attractive and interesting – features that have a meaning to them.  Alongside these photographs will be stories written by the students about themselves, the buildings and the differences they have perceived between their cultures and Glasgow.

Entry free. Download the poster

The project was funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and supported by The Glasgow School of Art.
