  Because the parish is meant to be missionary it will be inclusive and outward-looking.   It will welcome those whose contact with the parish is only occasional.  It will remember that it is part of the local diocese and will co-operate with the bishop and with the neighbouring parishes.  It will foster relations with Christians of other denominations, with people of other faiths and with non-believers.  It will take an interest in local affairs, especially where Christian values are concerned.  It will also be a source of help for the churches overseas.
