Recruiting: Independent Safeguarding Commission

New member required for the Independent Safeguarding Commission of the British Jesuits

The British Jesuits have a well-established Safeguarding Commission which is responsible for the oversight of the Society’s arrangements for the protection of children and vulnerable adults from abuse.

The Commission is looking to recruit a member with a background and professional experience of working with vulnerable adults who might be at risk.

Perhaps you have a social care or social work background in this area and would be interested in using your skills and abilities in governance and oversight to bear on this important work for the Society of Jesus.

This is an unpaid position but travel expenses are paid. There will be a period of induction and this is an opportunity to use your personal and professional skills in helping to develop the policies and practices of child and adult safeguarding.
There are between five and six meetings a year in central London (Mount Street W1).

If you are interested in knowing more about this role and the work of the Commission please email for an information pack.
