Praying online... Sacred Space
The creation of two Jesuits working together in the Jesuit Communication Centre in Dublin - one from the Irish Province, the other from the British Province - Sacred Space was launched at the beginning of Lent in 1999.
The idea of the site was to bring a meaningful experience of prayer to busy people in their offices, but at their desktops, via the internet. Sacred Space guides the visitor gently through a ten-minute prayer session, in six stages, centred on a scripture passage for the day, and based on the tradition of Ignatian spirituality.
Since then, the site has had over twenty-million visits and is now available in twenty languages. Current figures show that - on average - someone, somewhere in the world, visits Sacred Space every six seconds.

Praying on the move... Pray-as-you-go
Launched in March 2006, Pray-as-you-go is a daily prayer session in MP3 format that you can download from the web and play on your computer or take with you on a portable MP3 player such as an iPod, to pray on the way to work.
Using some of the world's most beautiful spiritual music, a reading from the scriptures and some questions for personal reflection, Pray-as-you-go gently guides you through ten to twelve minutes of meditation each day - the perfect way to build a habit of regular prayer into a busy day, and the perfect antidote to the hassle and stress of the life of the average commuter!
Produced by Jesuit Media Initiatives in London, Pray-as-you-go has clocked up three million downloads in its first eighteen months of operation.
