A Meditation for EpiphanyThis Sunday 7th January at 8.10 am Radio 4 will be broadcasting its regular Sunday Worship programme from the Jesuit church of the Holy Name in Manchester.The programme will offer a reflection on the universality of the Christian message at the start of the season of Epiphany.Hymns will include 'As with gladness men of old' and 'Hail Redeemer, King Divine!' alongside carols for choir including Cornelius' 'The Three Kings' and Thomas Hewitt Jones' 'What child is this?'....

Patrick Corkery makes his vows
Patrick (Pat) Corkery SJ said there was “a palpable sense of God’s presence” on the night he made his profession of First Vows. The ceremony took place in Manresa Retreat House Chapel in Dublin on 24 November. Over 70 people attended the Mass, including Pat’s family, friends, and Jesuit colleagues. 150 Jesuits and co-workers of  the province meeting honoured  fifteen Jubilarians with a special dinner at the Hayes Christian Conference Trust Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire on Thursday.Fr Michael Bossy, Fr Francis Hull and Brother James Hodkinson were all present to celebrate 70 years in the Society. Fr Hull, whose double jubilee include 50 years in the priesthood, con-celebrated Mass on Thursday before the dinner, with Fr Kevin O'Rourke, a jubilarian of 50 years in the Society...
