Peter studied philosophy at Heythrop College, London in the 70s and theology at Centre Sèvres, Paris in the 80s.   He was assistant teacher of Latin and Greek, at St. Ignatius' College, Enfield, 1982-85 and St. Aloysius' College, Glasgow, 1989-91.
