Michael Smith SJ

It has been a very busy life, with a lot of stresses and strains, but it is also a life of happiness, and always lived in communities of Jesuits all of whom were good companions and many are lasting friends.  Over the years there has been time each day for prayer, and over the years that has become a very precious part of my life.

I've never been overwhelmed with visions of what God is calling me to do.  Rather, I've felt that each step was the right one to take, and that I've walked my path guided and cared for by God.
