The following are the current vacancies available at different works of the Jesuits in Britain.

Laudato Si Research Institute Associate Director

The Laudato Si’ Research Institute is a new ministry of the Jesuits in Britain based at Campion Hall, a permanent private hall of the University of Oxford.

The Institute will take forward Pope Francis’ radical vision in his encyclical letter Laudato Si’ and will foster interdisciplinary research and dialogue between theology, philosophy, theological ethics and the social and natural sciences on integral ecology, including integral human development.

The appointment of Professor Celia Deane-Drummond as Director Designate of the Institute was announced in July.

The Associate Director will work alongside Professor Deane-Drummond to manage day to day operations.  He or she will play a key role in establishing the Institute nationally and internationally and will provide effective overall management, strategic planning and development and engage in research and teaching appropriate to the aims of the Institute.

“This appointment is to play a major role in developing the Institute, which we trust will have a significant impact of the work of the Church and wider society,” said Fr Damian Howard SJ, Provincial of the Jesuits in Britain.

The successful candidate will have a relevant PhD, significant skills in academic administration, and a record of high quality performance.

Salary up to £50,000 per annum.

The start date will be 1 August 2019 ahead of the formal opening of the Institute in September 2019.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Saturday 16th February 2019.
