NEW – Our Click-To-Pray eRosary

The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network has launched the Click-To-Pray eRosary, which —as its name suggests— is a smart rosary that uses the latest digital technology. Its purpose: to pray for peace in the world. At the most recent World Youth Day, Pope Francis begged us to pray the rosary for peace. As his personal prayer-group, this is our response!

Now, in time for the Christmas season, an English language version is available to purchase online in the UK nations.

The interactive Click-To-Pray eRosary is a smart app-driven device that can be worn as a bracelet. You activate it simply by making the sign of the cross. The digital technology is housed in the rosary’s crucifix which you “pair” with your phone or tablet. You download a free app, which allows access to an audio guide, exclusive images and personalised content about the Rosary. The eRosary comes with a USB charging stand for wireless battery charging.

Included in the software is a health app., measuring statistics such as your daily steps and calories. So the Click-To-Pray eRosary helps support both your spiritual and your physical health! There is also on-screen links to the day’s Click-to-Pray prayers and to the Pope’s Intention for the month. But its primary purpose is to pray for peace and to open up the beauty of the Rosary to a new generation.

Aimed at the peripheral frontiers of the digital world of younger people, the Click-To-Pray eRosary can teach us all, younger and older, how to pray the Rosary, how to pray it for peace, how to contemplate the Gospel. This project brings together the best of the Church’s spiritual tradition and the latest advances of the technological world.

Physically, the device consists of ten black agate and hematite rosary beads, and of a smart Crucifix which stores all the technological data connected to the app. When activated, the user can choose either to pray the standard rosary, or a contemplative Rosary or different kinds of thematic rosaries that will be updated frequently. Once the prayer begins, the smart rosary shows the user’s progression throughout the different mysteries and keeps track of each rosary completed.

This smart rosary belongs to the same family as Click-To-Pray, the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network’s official prayer app (where Pope Francis has his own personal profile) that connects tens of thousands of people around the globe in daily prayer. Each is an initiative of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, a pontifical work with the mission of mobilising Catholics through prayer and action, responding to the challenges confronting humanity and the mission of the Church.
