Our People

  • St Aloysius Gonzaga SJ

    Aloysius was from an aristocrat Italian family. Shortly after joining the Jesuits, he died as a result of caring for the victims of plague. He was beatified in 1605 and canonized in 1726.

  • Clifford Howell SJ 1902-1981

    Clifford Howell SJ

    Clifford Howell joined the Jesuits in 1921 and became a pioneer in explaining the liturgy to the faithful and contributing significantly to the post-Vatican II liturgical revival.
  • Patrick Connors SJ

    Patrick Connors SJ

    Became a Jesuit in 1952. Paddy spent many years in Guyana before returning to the UK in 2000. He then worked with the poorest people in Liverpool for 10 years before moving to Stamford Hill to work in the parish.
