IMAGINE - new weekly meditation sessions on Zoom
Article by Iona Reid-Dalglish, Spirituality Worker
Lockdown has inspired us to share a new online offering – IMAGINE - a weekly live zoom space. These hour-long sessions will explore the gift of our imaginations, and how they might be powerful forces for engaging creatively with the reality of the world as it is, in the midst of what can feel chaotic and uncertain.
We trust that the Mystery at the heart of life is working within and through these uncertain times, and can be noticed and collaborated with. Our imaginations can be a helpful doorway into that Mystery, both within and outside of ourselves, and a way of tuning into the threads of creativity, life and hope that are constantly weaving something greater than we could possibly envisage just now.
Inspired by meditative practices that engage with story, image, scripture, imagination, desire, affect, body and silence, these sessions will involve a variety of guided meditations with some opportunity for sharing. Everyone is welcome – just bring an openness and curiosity, and your imagination!
We hope the sessions help you to anchor into what is real and meaningful for you, in a way that enables you to respond more fully, and lovingly, to the complex needs of these times for the good of the world. Here are details of how you can join tomorrow's session:
