It's a close shave for Wimbledon fundraiser

Students at Wimbledon College have raised more than £3,000 to support the work of Cancer Research UK. Most of it was generated over the six weeks of Lent but they are continuing to collect funds for the charity.

One student in particular went to extreme lengths to raise money for Cancer Research UK. 16-year-old Luke Higgins shaved his head, thereby generating over £800 through his efforts. “I did it because I thought by doing something extreme, I would raise more money for such a worthy cause as Cancer Research UK and I wanted to raise as much awareness as possible,” says the Sixth Form student.
