Jesuits & Friends magazine summer edition
Mid-summer is almost upon us so subscribers to Jesuits and Friends magazine can expect the summer 2019 edition to be delivered in the next few days.
The summer edition focusses on the Universal Apostolic Preferences. For nearly two years Jesuits around the world have been participating in a consultation about the focus and priorities of the Society of Jesus for the next decade. Four “universal apostolic preferences” were announced recently and the summer edition explores how the four themes inform our current work and future plans in Britain. We also have news from Fr Denis Blackledge SJ about the cause for canonisation of Fr Pedro Arrupe SJ; and there are updates from Jesuit Missions on Cyclone Idai and the London Marathon. In the latest in our series from our Jesuit schools we learn how our smallest school, St Joseph’s primary in Hurst Green, Lancashire, is putting the Jesuit Pupil Profile into practice through being learned and wise.
The magazine should be out on display in our centres and parishes in the next week
