MAGIS is an international event for young adults aged 17 to 30. It is organised by the Jesuits and the Ignatian family in Britain, Ireland, The Netherlands and Flanders. This year the event takes place from 6 - 17 August in Ireland. We will spend the first two days in Gonzaga College, Dublin, where there will be workshops themed around the questions “Who am I” and “Who is God”. Every day we will pray, work and celebrate together as well as having lots of fun. After the opening days we will be sent out in groups of 15-20 people to live an 'experience' somewhere in Ireland. The experiences range from a pilgrimage along places of ancient Celtic spirituality and working on an ecological farm to exploring faith and spirituality in art, community service and discovering the process of peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland. We will return to Dublin after 7 days to conclude our time together.
If you want to participate you must be open to experiencing God, willing to commit to the poor and to the planet, interested in international friendships and ready to live in simplicity. There will be daily prayer, liturgy and sharing in small groups about your day.
The cost for participating at the event is € 180,-- or £ 150,--. Travel and international health insurance are not included. If MAGIS is for you then find out more by visiting our website at www.magis14.org or our Facebook page www.facebook.com/magis2014
