New members required for the Independent Safeguarding Commission
The British Jesuits have a well established Safeguarding Commission which is responsible for the oversight of the Society’s arrangements for the protection of children and vulnerable adults from abuse.
The Commission is looking for two new members.
It is looking to recruit one member who is either a serving police officer or has retired from the police service. The Commission is also looking to recruit one further member who does not have a specific professional background in child or adult safeguarding but who can bring their skills and abilities in governance and oversight to bear on this important work for the Society of Jesus.
This is an unpaid position but travel expenses are paid. There will be a period of induction and this is an opportunity to use your personal and professional skills in helping to develop the policies and practices of child and adult safeguarding.
There are between five and six meetings a year in central London (Mount Street W1).
If you are interested in knowing more about this role and the work of the Commission please email email@example.com for an information pack.
The closing date for applying is
30th June 2017
