An extra, final session of Province safeguarding training for this academic year will take place in Mount Street on Wednesday 2nd May, from 2.00 – 5.00pm. To book a place, please contact Jo Norman at safeguarding@gbsj.org. You are reminded that participation in these annual training sessions is now mandatory for each Jesuit in any kind of active apostolic ministry in Britain.

Philip Harrison, who was ordained deacon at the end of last year, is currently working part-time in Wapping for JRS-UK. As part of this placement, he is gathering material for a history of the Society’s work with refugees and asylum-seekers in Britain. The annual English language summer school will take place in Campion Hall, Oxford, between July 21st and August 18th. Scholastic Carlos Chuquihuara will be organising this year’s course. Participants study part-time at a commercial school in the city, and enjoy a social and religious programme hosted by members of the Campion Hall community, with excursions at weekends.
