  • Alexander Briant SJ

    Alexander Briant SJ

    Alexander Briant was born in Somerset, England on 17th August 1556, and studied at Harts Hall in Oxford. His feast day is celebrated on 1st December, the day of his martyrdom.

    Oliver Rafferty joined the Jesuits in 1979.  He has worked in social justice and academe and is currently Professor of Modern Irish and Ecclesiastical History at Boston College, Massachusetts.

    Br Alan became a Jesuit in in 1964. He was a Province Consultor for ten years, as well as being National Christian Life Community Ecclesiastical Assistant and member of the Mount Street Jesuit Centre team.
