    St Nicholas Owen was famous as a builder of ingenious priest holes during the Elizabethan and Jacobean era. His was captured and tortured to death following the Gunpowder Plot.

    Peter (“Bertie”) Granger-Banyard SJ died on 7th August 2018 in the St Aloysius community in Glasgow. He was 87 years old and had been a Jesuit for almost 70 years.
