The weekend will take place at the Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst College in Clitheroe, Lancashire, and is open to all.
In its methodology, this retreat seeks to reclaim practices that are common to mindfulness for the Christian tradition of contemplative prayer. In particular, mindfulness practices share common ground with the tradition of apophatic prayer and theology that is deeply rooted in the monastic and the Eastern Orthodox traditions.
The retreat will make use of such practices to help participants gain a greater awareness of their own experiences, to exercise a discipline of the mind, and to place them on the threshold of prayer, with an attentiveness and disposition to God’s presence.
The weekend commences on Friday 14th November (arrivals late pm) and ends on Monday 17th November 2025 (depart after lunch).
Comments and feedback on previous weekends included:

The team at St Beuno's have created this retreat for participants to reflect on Pope Leo XIV's statement: "We want to be a synodal church, walking and always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering."
This is an online retreat day especially for you to set aside time with God while making. You will find your own quiet space to be at work and use your own materials of choice. There will be suggestions for prayer and opportunities to share your prayer.
An online retreat in daily life enables you to make time for prayer and reflection in the midst of daily commitments. It is suitable both for people who feel like they don't have enough time to pray and for those who simply feel like their prayer life needs refreshment.
