Speaker: Professor Graham Ward, Senior Research Fellow at Campion Hall, former Regius Professor of Divinity at Oxford, and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Stellenbosch. His notable works include Cities of God, True Religion, and How The Light Gets In. He is currently working on a four-volume systematic theology, Ethical Life, with the third volume, Salvation, due next year.
Venue: Campion Hall Lecture Room (in-person) and online.
About the Lecture: Professor Ward explores the Holy Spirit's role in salvation, focusing on the formation of persons and the concept of persona. Drawing on Scripture and evolutionary biology, he examines how the Spirit works on emotional and dispositional levels, beyond cognition, in the process of becoming our true selves in Christ. Suffering and personal biographies play key roles in this transformative journey.
How to Attend: This lecture is available in person at Campion Hall and via livestream. Register to choose your preferred option on the Eventbrite page here. Limited in-person spaces are available, and online attendees will receive a livestream link the day before the event.

The team at St Beuno's have created this retreat for participants to reflect on Pope Leo XIV's statement: "We want to be a synodal church, walking and always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering."
This is an online retreat day especially for you to set aside time with God while making. You will find your own quiet space to be at work and use your own materials of choice. There will be suggestions for prayer and opportunities to share your prayer.
An online retreat in daily life enables you to make time for prayer and reflection in the midst of daily commitments. It is suitable both for people who feel like they don't have enough time to pray and for those who simply feel like their prayer life needs refreshment.
