As part of the celebration of the Ignatian Year, we are delighted to host a reading of the INIGO play, written by Jonathan Moore (award winning actor, writer and director, including with the BBC, the Royal Shakespeare Co, and Shakespeare's Globe). The reading will be by a professional cast, which includes actors from The Royal Shakespeare Co, Shakespeare’s Globe, the West End, and BBC TV and Radio.
Come and experience something of the play's dramatic power, as shown by these reviews from the play’s initial, highly successful Off West End run:
“An astonishing achievement" Jesuits and Friends ( Magazine of the British Jesuits)
"Moore's intelligent script... lovely moments of religious poetry and pragmatic comedy... given the current activity in Rome, this is a particularly pertinent time for this story of humility." The Stage★★★★
'Impressive...entertaining. Enlightening.' ★★★★ LondonTheatre1
'Historically accurate, comic and thought-provoking while still incredibly relevant.' ★★★★ Plays To See
'Brilliantly written and acted...a great evening of thoughtful and dynamic theatre' - Mark Lawson (leading arts critic and broadcaster)
The text of the play has been published and is available for purchase.
