The Mass will celebrate the life and vision of Fr Pedro Arrupe SJ, who founded the Jesuit Refugee Service in 1980 to accompany, serve and advocate for refugees and forcibly displaced people.
It will be an opportunity to give thanks for his enduring legacy, remember those seeking sanctuary and recognise the volunteers, supporters, staff and partners who continue his mission today.
The celebration will feature five original compositions by award-winning British composer Dr Deborah Mollison. Entitled Cinq Moments, the musical reflections were inspired by her visits to JRS UK and conversations with refugee children and families, exploring themes of compassion, displacement, dignity and hope.
