Current vacancy: Campion Hall Events Manager

February 19, 2025

Campion Hall seeks to appoint an Events Manager to manage and help deliver Hall events (including lectures, conferences, guest dinners, summer schools, and other event programming).

The post holder will manage and coordinate the Hall’s events and have overall responsibility for delivery of all events services, including Hall-led functions and occasional external business. They will be the main liaison partner between event organiser and relevant domestic services, catering, communications, and the accounts team. Event organisers include internal stakeholders, such as the Master’s Office, Bursar, academic-related events, Middle Common Room (student) events, Fellows, and partnering institutions within Oxford and further afield. The Events Manager will also coordinate the registration process for participants in events.

It is estimated that the role is about two thirds of the time administrative and office based, while the remaining third is hands-on, practical delivery of events. The role includes attendance at events to ensure delivery. The position therefore requires a high degree of flexibility towards working hours, including some evening work. Weekend work is very occasional. The post holder will be committed to ensuring that the mission of Campion Hall is carried forward through events, and to fostering an atmosphere of hospitality and care for all participants.
