Jesuit Missions seeks new Director to lead its global mission

Jesuit Missions, the international mission and development organisation of the Jesuits in Britain, is inviting applications for the role of Director.

The charity is looking for a leader who can guide its work alongside some of the world’s most marginalised communities and help shape a future rooted in justice, faith, and hope. This is a rare opportunity to lead an internationally respected organisation and to influence mission-focused development across the global Jesuit network.

About the role

The new Director will:

Provide inspirational leadership to staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Ensure effective resource management and value for money across all activities.

Build strong relationships with donors and partners.

Advocate for Jesuit Missions’ beneficiaries and contribute to wider sector conversations.

Forge strategic alliances that advance the organisation’s vision and mission.

Foster a positive organisational culture that reflects Jesuit Missions’ values.

Who the organisation is looking for

Candidates will be able to demonstrate:

A commitment to the mission and evangelisation of the Catholic Church and an understanding of the work of the Jesuits in Britain.

Experience in the international development sector.

At least three years’ leadership experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sphere.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong networking, advocacy, and influencing abilities.

A collaborative, inclusive, and empathetic leadership style.
