New Heythrop Library website has been launched

The Heythrop Library, a work of the Jesuits in Britain, recently launched its own website. Previously it had a web presence within the website for the London Jesuit Centre, where the Library’s reading room is based. The new website is: heythroplibrary.co.uk

Clemens Gresser, Heythrop Librarian, explained:

‘The new website is an exciting way for the Heythrop Library to share information about its collections, membership, facilities, history, FAQs, news and more, all in one place. This will offer the librarians more flexibility to connect with our current and potential members. The standalone site also reflects the breadth of the Library’s collections and operations, which expand beyond the London Jesuit Centre were the reading room is based.’

Naomi Hart, Assistant Librarian, spoke about a brand-new feature of heythroplibrary.co.uk:

‘We are delighted that the new website has a blog functionality, enabling the library team to present the collection and services in a bespoke way. The blog is called ‘What’s on our mind’ and covers a broad range of subjects. You can expect behind the scenes information, explorations of the Library’s unique quirks (from its history to classification), spotlights of visually striking and rare books, treasures from the collection, and reflections from the librarians.’
