St Aloysius’ College seeks new Governors to support next phase of development

May 11, 2026

St Aloysius’ College, the Jesuit school in Glasgow, is seeking to appoint new Governors to its Board as it prepares for the next phase of the school’s development.

The College is particularly interested in candidates with senior professional experience in areas including chartered accountancy and finance, fundraising, marketing and communications, human resources, property and estates, risk and compliance, and legal expertise.

Governors at St Aloysius’ College play a key role in the strategic oversight of the school. They support and constructively challenge the Principal and senior leadership team, while helping to ensure educational strength, financial sustainability, effective governance and regulatory compliance, alongside fidelity to the College’s Catholic and Jesuit mission.

The College is seeking individuals with sound judgement, integrity, strategic perspective and a commitment to collective decision-making. Previous board or trustee experience is welcome but not essential.

The recruitment process is being conducted on the following timetable:

  • Application deadline: Friday 15 May 2026 at 5.00pm
  • Shortlisting: week commencing Monday 18 May 2026
  • Interviews: by Friday 29 May 2026
  • References and final due diligence: completed by Friday 5 June 2026
  • Proposed approval of appointments: Thursday 11 June 2026
