Details

The fellowship offers a distinctive opportunity for an early-career scholar-practitioner to combine research in spirituality—particularly within the Ignatian tradition—with active involvement in spiritual accompaniment. The successful candidate will explore areas such as the Spiritual Exercises, discernment, and the relationship between spirituality and contemporary fields including the arts, social justice, and ecology.

Alongside their academic work, the Fellow will contribute to the spiritual life of the community, supporting students and young adults through Ignatian accompaniment and helping to shape formation initiatives at Campion Hall.

Named in honour of Philip Endean SJ (1954–2023), a Jesuit priest and theologian known for bridging academic theology with lived Ignatian spirituality, the fellowship reflects a commitment to integrating rigorous scholarship with spiritual practice.
