Help deepen spiritual roots in Scotland

The Ignatian Spirituality Centre (ISC) in Glasgow is inviting applications for a transformative new role at the heart of its mission in Scotland. This is more than just a job—it’s a calling to accompany others in faith, deepen spiritual practice, and nurture Ignatian spirituality in the UK today.

The team in Glasgow are seeking a Spirituality Team Member with significant experience in giving the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola and in supervising or training others in Ignatian practice. The successful candidate will become part of a vibrant and prayerful team based at the ISC on Scott Street, Glasgow, a space where lives are changed daily through retreats, training, and personal accompaniment.

About the Role

The new team member will play a key part in forming and supporting those trained in spiritual accompaniment, as well as leading retreats and engaging in outreach. The role reflects the Jesuit commitment to “finding God in all things” and helping others do the same. It is ideal for someone with a deep love of Ignatian spirituality, pastoral experience, and a desire to continue growing in their own spiritual journey.

Collaboration, confidentiality, and a discerning heart are essential qualities. Flexibility is also needed, with some weekend and evening work expected.

Location: Ignatian Spirituality Centre, 35 Scott Street, Glasgow, G3 6PE

Hours: 25 hours per week (part-time)

Salary: £30,493 pro rata (£21,781 for 25 hours)

Contract: Fixed-term from 1 September 2025 to 30 June 2027
