Jesuit Missions seeks Community Engagement Manager to lead outreach efforts across the UK

March 10, 2025

Jesuit Missions (JM), the international development organization of the Jesuits in Britain, is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Community Engagement Manager to lead its outreach initiatives in schools, parishes, university chaplaincies, and Jesuit communities across the UK.

The role, based in Wimbledon with the option for remote work, offers a unique opportunity to empower local communities to actively engage in JM’s campaigns and fundraising efforts.

The successful candidate will manage and inspire a dedicated team, including the Campaigns and Advocacy Officer, to support JM’s mission of promoting social justice and development in the global South. The role’s core responsibilities include leading the creation of campaigns and content, building relationships with key stakeholders in educational and religious institutions, and engaging new supporters in JM's vital work.

Founded more than 60 years ago, Jesuit Missions focuses on promoting the mission of the Jesuits to “serve the faith through the promotion of justice,” inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and the Ignatian way of proceeding.

JM supports various programs in impoverished regions, including a rights-based initiative in India assisting over 300,000 people, an environmental advocacy project in Madagascar, and educational efforts in South Sudan aimed at equipping young people with skills for employment.
