We are recruiting a Delegate for Social & Ecological Justice to support our mission

March 25, 2026

We are seeking to appoint a Delegate for Social and Ecological Justice, a key role supporting Jesuits in Britain’s mission to promote justice as an integral part of its service of faith.

The Delegate will support and connect our many works in this area—from work with the Jesuit Refugee Service UK and Jesuit Missions to environmental research and parish outreach—, helping to foster collaboration, encourage new initiatives, and strengthen our response to key issues. These include migration, climate change and environmental justice, homelessness and poverty in Britain, youth participation, and support for prisoners and the elderly.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the mission of Jesuits in Britain, a deep commitment to social justice, and a grounding in Ignatian spirituality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to initiate and support new initiatives are essential. This is a part-time role (three days per week), with flexible home working.

Salary: £42,000 (£74,000 FTE) + pension

Closing date: 10th April 2026
